Hello 2025!
With it being the new year, I've thought about what I want 2025 to look like for my photography business. Adding to my portfolio but also honing in on what fuels me is important as each year passes. I started this journey mid 2022 and I was willing to take on just about any session thrown my way and I'm glad I did because it allowed me to know where I wanted to be creatively.
Currently my focus is families, couples, maternity, newborns and a little bit of boudoir. Each of these sessions fulfills me in a different way. With families, maternity and newborn, I connect so deeply with each of my clients because of where I am in life. I'm only 9 months postpartum with my third son so it all still feels fresh. I love couples sessions because I am able to capture your love story whether it's the beginning, 50 years into it, or somewhere in between! And boudoir might be my favorite. It is so empowering, as predictable as that may sound, but allowing a women to be in a safe space where she can appreciate her body is truly special.
But back to where I want to be this year...
I want a huge focus for me to be on further telling your story during your sessions. Warning: this may actually have everyone excited for a session...yes, I'm talking to you dad (some of you, lol). What I want is to be there for your Sunday morning breakfast, the kids helping pour the pancake batter, dad drinking some coffee, putting puzzles together. I want to go to the beach and document you all building sandcastles, searching for seashells, enjoying a picnic lunch. I want to join you and your significant other getting coffee or ice cream at your favorite local spot. Are you a family that gardens? Then PLEASE have me come along as you tend to it over the warmer months. Do you have a boat and could we pull off a session on the water? If so, I'm here for that too! I could keep going with ideas, but this is a small glimpse of what I want to see in front of my camera.
My next focus will be on seniors. I am so excited to offer these sessions for those who are graduating high school or college. Your next big adventure is about to happen and a session is a wonderful way to celebrate how far you've come. Each senior session will offer plenty of time to capture your journey at location that represents a part of you!
Overall, I am hoping to expand on my happiness and that is working with you! Creating memories, documenting those moments, and having time to fully engage in the present is something I plan to achieve for each of my clients this year.
